Reuse at home

We have become so used to throwing things away without a second thought. However, many household items can be used over and over again.

Think again and use again

  • Donate your unwanted furniture, electrical goods, sports equipment and bicycles to re-use organisations
  • Take clothes, toys, books and bric-a-brac to a local charity shop
  • Use both sides of a piece of paper and turn scrap paper into a note book
  • Envelopes can be used again, use sticky labels to cover the old address
  • Jam jars can make handy containers for all sorts of things
  • Turn your old T shirt into a duster
  • Be crafty and create, it is amazing what can be made from waste
  • If you clear out the attic, sell your unwanted items at a car boot sale or on the internet
  • Join www.freecycle.org and make offer your unwanted items to someone who can make use of them. You might pick up a great deal yourself too!
  • Join Malvern Swap it - Flog it web group if you live in the Malvern District
  • Join the eFREEko web site for more re-use options
